The resort was beautiful with the beach just steps away. The room we were assigned was too hot for an American. The air conditioner barely worked and kept the room around 80°. Once we were moved to a new room in a different building things greatly improved. The staff was great when it came to giving us a fan to make it through the night and then moving our re-packed bags while we’re on an adventure in Tulum. I do suggest they get new AC units in the buildings that have issues. Otherwise, the restaurants, bars, pools, rooms, staff, beach, and amenities were amazing!

Staff and facility was amazing. Felt the food lacked a little but they were excellent for dietary restrictions such as gluten. My wife being gluten free was accommodated at every restaurant.

Beautiful place for a quick get away.

This hotel is wonderful. The beautiful grounds, the delicious restaurants, and the exceptional staff made for an excellent trip.

Key restaurant was not open the full 5 days we were there. Spices is the only restaurant to have a site down breakfast and lunch. It was closed the full time we were there. When we asked staff when it would be open, everyone gave a different answer regarding its opening. They would mostly always say it will be open tomorrow but never was. I do not like eating from buffets and that is why I liked the Royal Hideaway. This was my 8th time visiting and have never had this issue. Will likely look for a new resort to frequent.

This resort is the ideal place for a honeymoon. From the moment you get out of the cab you are greeted and treated like you’re the most important person there. The staff was amazing throughout our stay and our concierge Armando was on top of everything we could want and need before we could think it ourselves. We made our reservation a week out and ate at every single restaurant we wanted to. Each restaurant had amazing views and vibes to match the theme of the restaurant. Breakfast on the deck every morning was the highlight of the day. You’re just meters away from the beach and the views and breeze to start your day along with some great fruit and breakfast, was picturesque. The treatment we received at our Bali bed was unbelievable, having a beach day where you don’t have to move and can just be taken care of was top tier. I would come back to this resort in a heartbeat. What a class organization and well run resort. Hassle free and took care of every one of our last needs. The rooms do run hot but you’re in the jungle so what can you expect. The property was also very well manicured and maintained.

Fairly compact, well maintained property on a beautiful stretch of beach. Everything was pretty much as expected: quiet vibes with fairly limited nightly entertainment, good service, small but serviceable buffet, and more. This resort would certainly deserve a 4 star review, but unfortunately I settled on 3 for one main reason, the AC. We stayed 8 nights and were not able to get 1 good night of sleep with temperatures in the room, despite the AC on max all the time, not hovering around 23 degrees (73 plus degrees). We are not AC lovers, but the room was just 1 or 2 degrees above our comfort level. Some of these issues extended beyond our room. The Sports Bar, for example, was basically impracticable for more than a few minutes. I do not know if this is the norm or the luck of the draw, but unfortunately, when one of the things we appreciate of these vacations is the ability to get some relax and sleep in, this experience may put us in a situation where we would not consider returning. Thanks to the staff for their hard work.
