The staff went beyond my expectations helping us settle in. The Japanese style room was very spacious and had lots of conveniences, and the public baths on premises were absolutely fantastic.

The staff were all amazing and we had booked a traditional room - upgraded to an Onsen bathroom. It was a shame we only had one night as we arrived at 7pm and had to rush to dinner as last sitting was 7.30pm. Our futons were the most comfortable beds we slept in for our entire trip to Japan. Matsuyama was a lovey city, I wish we had had more time

Great friendly staff that when out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Definitely a good place if you enjoy onsen. They also have a lovely garden to explore.

The Japanese style room is as close to a ryokan stay as you can get. Try the Japanese breakfast - both the Japanese and western breakfast was plentiful, nutritious and tasty. Staff service, friendliness and attentiveness was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Around the corner to the Dogo Onsen (historic onsen that recently
reopened) although we didn’t visit, seeing the building (at night) is impressive. We can to visit the shrines and do a tiny Henro - this is walkable to the Ishitige Shrine and others close by. Wonderful stay - and getting a room with the in room onsen was very a nice indulgence.
