Firstly my wife and I felt threatened by a man welding a 3foot knife at our outdoor table 5:30 pm when he started demanding institutions about sitting and staying and listening to him talking, throwing about 300 pounds in 10 pound notes.across the table.
Secondly our room for the night was right above the restaurant and we couldn't hardly get some sleep, as we where due to catch a 4am bus the following day to Dover.

A great place to stay. Good restaurant. Since there was a wedding party there at the same time, it was quicker to walk down the street to the pub instead of using the bar as there was only one barman serving lots of people.

A comfortable, quiet nights sleep.
Staff were polite and attentive.
The hotel is in the centre of town and I thought the noise from other establishments would filter into our room but it did not.
Breakfast was cooked to order and was very tasty. The continental breakfast had a good selection. We would stay again.

OK pub/hotel - charming setting and building and great shower/bathroom. Wifi also fine.
But my room was very small - barely enough room to walk around a single bed (and this for £110/night), bed was very uncomfortable and reception was never manned (I had to go and find staff 3 times).
At 30% less price this would be fine, but at the price I paid I would not recommend.

Another wonderful stay at the Whitehorse. Special mention to Heather who was as always exceptional.
Our room was lovely and the housekeeping staff were always top notch.
Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Fabulous room and as always super friendly staff. Lovely decor and a decent size outdoor area for drinks on a sunny day. Right in the middle of town so very convenient for everything, and safe and easy to walk back too.

The hotel was excellent, but the service in the restaurant, especially for breakfast was not good. We had to chase our cooked breakfast 3 times, and waited for over 30 minutes. TBF they apologised and the breakfast was deducted from our bill. The housekeeping staff, especially Sally were more than excellent, and went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. Overall the room, the location were excellent, and we would stay again. Just a little more attentive in the food service area, please.
