Helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Typical Ibis budget in a great location

The location of this hotel is fantastic.. right next door to the train station but… the room was tiny .. nowhere to hang your clothes. We were there for a week and had to leave our clothes in the suitcases stacked on top of each other. Saying that I would stay there again 😊

The AC was not working

Staff were friendly and helpful with any questions. The room was cleaned daily to a good standard. We were disappointed with the lack of kettle/tea/coffee facilities in the room. The room was fairly small for two people, however for what we paid was fair in comparison to the cost of most hotels in the South of France. The air conditioning was poor, and on the lowest temperature still did not cool the room in the heatwave, and so we struggled with this. We didn’t opt for breakfast with our stay as we find going out for breakfast better value of money, personally. We only used the pool once and didn’t find Otto be particularly well kept, and there was a lack of sunbeds. It is in between some high rise buildings and doesn’t get much sun exposure apart from in the middle of the day. It was approx. a 15 minute walk to the beach / town centre, and so was convenient. It was also located next to the train station, and conveniently close to a tram station and so it was great for connections, or popping into the town centre. All in all, given how expensive everything is in the South of France, we found this stay to be good value for money.

Fantastic to have a pool and be located next to station.

This is a perfect hotel to base yourself in Nice. For a budget style hotel it had everything. Not the most glamorous of locations, next to the train station, but this was very practical for travelling to Monaco and Cannes or indeed anywhere else on the Riviera. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the promenade/beach and all of the bars / restaurants. The room was basic but clean and serviced every day. The bathroom was a little on the small side so if you are of a larger build this may cause you some difficulties but for me it was fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. The on site bar is good with pleasant surroundings and a tv to watch the World Cup which was on at the time of my visit. Not a large selection on draught beer but for a start of a night drink or last drink of the day it was fine. For the hotel to have a swimming pool is amazing. I used it most days and always managed to get a sun bed. It’s very peaceful although you can slightly hear the traffic on the road next to the hotel but this is certainly not a major problem. Breakfast at the hotel is basic but was sufficient to start off the day. If you are looking for a good priced hotel in the centre of Nice with all the amenities you need this is your hotel. One other thing, my flight home wasn’t until 11pm. Check out is at 11 am. I was able to store my luggage for the day at the hotel and use the pool / pool bar for the day before having a shower and changing. Ensuring I was relaxed & fresh for my journey home.

Staff lovely. Bar hit and miss as to weather there is anyone to serve. Bathroom crazy tiny. Kept banging my kness land elbows on wall. I’m 5ft 9. Pool area really nice. Aircon weak but a Lot Cooler than outside. Great Location

L’emplacement près de la gare et du centre-ville est excellent. La terrasse et la piscine sont très bien.
