Huge resort with lots of swimming pools. Even though the main pool was closed in our visit there are lots of other options. The resort is mainly set up to cater for kids and families which I didn’t know when I booked. It didn’t bother us as the resort was very quiet when we visited, however as an older couple with no kids with us I would not recommend staying there in peak season unless you have a family or small children with you.
The staff are lovely and always very polite and professional. The buffet breakfast was large with lots of options and catered for gluten free.
The resort if right on the beach with is lovely and we swam there every day. It is also easy walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The night markets are close by and open 4 nights a week with great cheap food options.
Overall lovely resort but would probably stay at the resort next door next time which is adults only

Love the staff in Sunwing Kamala Beach resort. They are friendly and super nice. Their food are excellent with lots of varieties. Guest relation Raenelyn was amazing gave us information on top resturants around the beach and where to get a legit Thai massage. In Some kitchen, staff LetLet, Lovi, and Alyssa were very accommodating and made us feel at home.

The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. Best rest I have had in a long time! Staff are so lovely. Only thing I didn’t rate well was the day spa, not worth the price. I got better treatments on the street. Khao Lak is a very quiet place. You don’t come here for the night life. You come here to relax and do a few day trips or diving in the dry season. No diving between may and October as the islands are closed for conservation.

Beautiful paradise.. i cannot fault it at all. Staff are wonderful. Kamala beach is beautiful and i like it that its not much of a walk and you got the hotels pool right near the beach. Will definitely come back and recommend this hotel to family and friends

Amazing family-centric resort! The kids club crew really goes all out to engage the children. There are plenty of pools all with different features, including two secluded ones for adults. We booked the baby suite, plenty of space including the king sized bed and the extra single bed that's from the sofa (comes with linen). Place may be a bit dated but immaculate. Would consider returning or visit other Sunwing properties
