Beach view staff

What I didn’t like was that before arriving at this hotel, they had already charged my account before I could even arrive at the hotel to check in. Also, my account had another hold on it while I was at their property, and on top of that, they pulled the “resort fee” out of my account the day after I checked out. So it seemed to me as if they were breaking everything up, which I thought strange and did not appreciate that. And not only that, my family was never able to get in the pool because each time, there was nowhere for us to place our belongings as it seemed as if the other guests was holding tables and chairs with their belongings on them. So for the 3 days we stayed, we never got to get in the pool. Also, apparently there’s only 1 luggage cart throughout the entire hotel. So the guests have to haul their luggage in themselves in their hands, which is crazy for the amount of money you pay. Upon checking out, the housekeeper seemed to rush us out the room in which we still had well over an hour before check out time. I most definitely will not be staying here in the future.

My family and I were really impressed with our stay. I looked for hours online reading reviews and the Shelby had some of the best so I took the chance and am so glad I did! We will definitely be going back and staying there again!

Great hotel for the price. We had a partial view of the ocean and it was very conveniently located. The room was clean and well equipped perfect for our short term stay.

This hotel was a great budget friendly option for us to be able to go on our babymoon and not break the bank. The hotel itself is cute and quaint. The staff was nice. The little cafe was nice to have as a breakfast option and we enjoyed the pool and tiki bar. The room was basic but very clean and check in was easy. We did not love the parking situation which was cramped and inconvenient. I am 7 months pregnant and my husband was constantly having to drop me off and go park the car in a garage two blocks away. Overall, we would probably have liked a place with more amenities and attention to detail for the guests, but there was nothing inherently wrong with this hotel.

The hotel was amazing! Loved how it was a simple walk to the beach. We really enjoyed the pool and lazy river. Just a heads up they only have one elevator it was a little slow moving but overall it worked and we didn’t have any type of problem with it and enjoy our stay. We will definitely be staying again in the near future.
