Very small room. London was over 30 degrees when we stayed at this hotel and there was no air conditioning. Room was very warm!

Great location, extremely helpful staff.

Staff were very friendly, room was clean, bed was very comfy, the Bar could do with better options (just my drink choices) ideally located and the price was really good. For somewhere to stay for a night I couldn’t fault it.

My room was tiny (which is fine) but had a bad odor (not so fine), caused by the drains just outside the windows, which I had to open. Also, the room was extremely noisy because of electrical/mechanical equipment a few feet away.

Tiny room. No AC. No amenities. The property is very well located though and the staff were helpful

The rooms are warm. There is no AC at all. They give you a fan. We liked the convenience to the train stations, but would stay elsewhere if traveling again. Hallways are very narrow with no elevator. Staff is nice and helpful.

You're paying for the location here and it is worth it if you're staying one night to catch a train in the morning. The bathroom was cold, grimey and had no hand towels. Beds were comfortable and clean. This room was fine for what we needed but it is very bare bones and I wouldn't recommend it for a multi night stay if you're over 25. The lounge was cute and staff were pleasant.

Perfect spot to stay if catching transportation at Kings Crossing or St Pancreas. Staff extremely helpful, especially Irene who helped significantly with the luggage when we checked out.

Great and welcoming staff. Check-in was very quick considering I only booked 30mins in advance. It's very conveniently located 2mins walk from Kings Cross station. The room is very small, but for a 1 night stay, it's more than enough.

The California is a nice enough place, and the staff is wonderful and really friendly, however, about halfway into my stay, I noticed ants had invaded my room. The front desk got me changed to another room quickly, but didn’t seem to want to until I insisted. I also felt that some kind of credit or incentive or partial refund would have been kind… considering I had to quickly pack up and move to another room due to bugs in the first. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to others, and would not stay here again.
