Beautiful hotel with many amenities in a perfect location. The staff were very nice and helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel. My only complaint was the Koi restaurant which was very disappointing but Victor was great.

As soon as we pulled up front door staff directed us to the Douglas check in floor and offered to take our bags up. We met Ice to check us in and he immediately connected with us on a more personal level. This was nice it made it feel more like being welcomed into a distant family members home rather than being checked into a hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The proximity to everything was nice, either a short walk to the football field, the hockey arena, the mall, Yale town, or waterfront where you could catch an aqua bus over to Granville island. Great stay making for a great trip!

Excellent hotel. For business travellers, ask hotel to change out for swivel chair at work desk. Very accommodating.

One unusual thing about the Douglas is the lobby/check-in is located on the 6th floor. Ground level is essentially empty, no doorman, or staff just elevators. As Marriot Bonvoy members they gave us their penthouse suite for an additional amount. So penthouse 1677 turned out to be a huge bi-level two bedroom suite with a pool table, bar, kitchen, and wrapped around 3-sides of the entire building. Dozens of floor to ceiling 15-foot high windows had electric curtains that opened at the touch of a button. Views of the city, the FIFA arena and the mountains. A fantastic place to stay for 3-days.

Check was a breeze, they gave us water upon arrival. They were so cheerful and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and nice. Definately would stay again.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. If we ever go back to Vancouver we would stay at the Douglas again.

Wonderful staff, location, view, modern rooms, room service was delicious. We came for an event at Rogers arena and the location was absolutely perfect.
