The AC worked fine

Hotel was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful and really set this property apart from the others. The afternoon music where all staff stop and join was a favorite. You can feel how much they love and value Maui. Property had great food and the beach, pool, and views were 10/10. We would recommend staying here and hope to be back again!

So close to the beach.

We had a great experience except the ocean view room was definitely not ocean view. It was a view of the other hotel and a peak at the ocean. Apparently ocean view is a little ocean but ocean front is what people think ocean view is. Our partial ocean view room was better than the ocean view room by 2 times and cheaper. Book partial ocean view and you'll love it!

Stayed here for three nights, and the partial ocean view room was amazing. The staff were great, and the hotel is just steps from the beach. It’s also conveniently located near restaurants and a local marketplace. We truly enjoyed our stay.

We were disappointed with this hotel from the start. When we got to our room, I discovered all of the towel racks were in very close proximity to the toilet. In fact, the “clean” hand towels and wash cloths were placed directly beside the toilet on both sides of the toilet paper dispenser. I found a cleaning cart in the hallway and grabbed new towels for us to use because there was no way I could wipe my clean hands and face on towels that were less than six inches from the toilet seat. To make matters worse, there was a stiff dirty washcloth draped over the shower rod. I tried to give the cleaner the benefit of the doubt (that they actually cleaned the shower but missed the washcloth because it blended in with the shower curtain). However, when I got in the shower, there were also two hairs stuck to the wall. The lady at the front desk that I spoke to about the situation was very kind and apologetic, and she got approval to comp our parking for the two days we were there to help make amends. She also gave us a $100 credit toward an excursion booked through their activities desk, but I think we were actually already supposed to get that at check-in and the other lady who checked us in forgot to give it to us. However, it didn’t matter because it was unusable. It took over thirty minutes for the activities desk lady to acknowledge us. Then she tried to convince us that over $500 per person for snorkeling was “what everyone in the area charged”. We paid $90 through Boss Frog.

Overall it was nice for an older hotel. We did have bugs but figured out it was the cleaning lady leaving the door open to clean. I did not think $500 for activities was worth it. I also would not recommend the restaurant on the beach, I was served warm salad with dairy. Finally, $100 to rent a lawn chair, how ridicioulous.

Great location and friendly staff, I would definitely stay there again.

Nice place. Great beach.

Staff was phenomenal dealing with our family in town with some unique circumstances. Very happy with how they handled things. Açaí bowls were great from the window and Maui brewing company right there along with blackrock short walk great location.
