Hotel Slavija in Split offers an absolutely unforgettable stay with a perfect location for exploring the city. Staying inside Diocletian's Palace means everything you want to see and eat is right outside your door. Rooms are spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Walkable to top attractions and surrounded by great restaurants. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is ideally positioned in the old town. That said it’s extremely noisy 24/7 so if you are looking for a good nights sleep look elsewhere. This isn’t a gripe it’s fact, the hotel is located next to a lively bar playing loud music until 1am. There are multiple restaurants in the immediate vicinity, although they obviously only contain folk going about their normal business but the bar is an issue and I’m surprised that it’s allowed in such a cultural setting! Breakfasts are adequate I would have liked more choice for the star rating. We had to continually ask for coffee sachets as room service seemed to miss them most days. The shower attachment wasn’t working effectively, for it to slide up and down isn’t a big ask.

The staff was so nice and helpful, and the room was spacious and clean. It was wonderful to stay in the heart of the history!

Hotel was great place to stay

Love this hotel great breakfast that is included. And amazing location.

The location is excellent within the Palace walls and in easy reach of the key sites in the City. A very pleasant place to stay. Good restaurant attached as well.

Clean modern rooms. Staff were great and helpful. Only issue was the stairs to get into building. They have a door at the rear to access an elevator from restaurant level (basement) however it is kept locked. When we arrived the restaurant staff opened it for us to access the elevator with our luggage but during our stay we were forced to use stairs at front (we are seniors and really appreciate the elevator). The front desk is up one level. Really need to install a room key reader to open door rather than forcing people to use stairs. Also a bit difficult to find. They did provide a video walk to their door but it was so fast it was hard to follow.

Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Ivana gets my 5* so genuine. There was works happening when we stayed, which didn’t impact us that much, we was upgraded to the roof terrace for breakfast but that’s where it fell short as the menu was very basic. I’m sure it will improve once the works have been completed. Will definitely stay there again if we visit Split.
