Rooms were tiny for how expensive it was and very very hot in the rooms

Breakfast was amazing!

A busy hotel which could’ve done a bit more to make those not part of big coach tours feel more welcome. Whilst it’s not the hotel’s fault there was loud construction work going on below our window, no checks were made to see if it was affecting us. It’s possible the hotel was not at capacity, so it would’ve been good customer service to offer us a room the other side (to place us farther away from the construction) and/or offer us something complimentary, such as a larger room and/or breakfasts, for the inconvenience/disruption. We enjoyed our days out in Bergen, but left not feeling like valued guests of Quality Hotel Edvard Grieg. Whilst the staff were friendly, the management clearly did not give them instructions to do more for their guests.

Everything worked out well. However it is slightly further from Bergen city centre. If you have your own transport, thus should not be an issue. Loved staying there.

Very busy hotel, especially at breakfast time. Lots of variety to choose from. Rooms were spacious and clean. It is imperative to walk with eye shades for sleeping because the Sun doesn’t set and the curtains still allowed light into the room. Dinner host and servers were quite rude and refused to even acknowledge us as we waited to be seated for more than ten minutes, while they walked up to their cash register four times, which was right in front of us. Parking can be tight especially for bigger vehicles.

Great hotel overall and honoring Edvard Grieg.

Unfortunately the hotel chain was undergoing a strike so staff was minimal (albeit very helpful). The room was ok after a paid upgrade. Heater did not work and typical bathroom amenities were not present. Breakfast was great. Dinner was disappointing. One dish and dessert for fixed price of NOK 31. Instead of a full buffet. The hotel is in the suburbs but the tram to town was great. Be aware that there is about a 1/2 km walk to the station from the hotel.

We enjoyed the facility and excellent breakfast.
