Clean, comfortable, right needs everything, good restaurants nearby!

Family run inn on the second floor of a historic building. Newly renovated rooms with A/C, comfy bed, and easy self-checkin. It was perfect for our one night stay in downtown Hilo.

The wifi connection wasn't available.

You basically hear everything from the adjacent room, its very annoying. No privacy at all.

The rooms are okay, it's an old building, no elevator, no cleaning between days. The area was the real problem, so many homeless, you won't feel comfortable going out after dark.

Overall good location with good amenities. However, all of the pillows (2 for sleeping) provided are too soft and not firm enough. Bed sheets’ thread count is very low which in combination leads to uncomfortable sleeping conditions. Otherwise, solid.

A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Hilo **Hilo Town Inn** is the perfect example of why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. While the exterior is unassuming, the rooms are squeaky clean and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to feel right at home. It is clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the space. The location is unbeatable for exploring the east side of the Big Island. Being right in the center of town, we were within walking distance of local restaurants and stores. It also served as an ideal home base for our trips to Volcanoes National Park and Akaka Falls. Plus, the proximity to Hilo Airport made our travel logistics incredibly easy. If you're looking for a comfortable, spotless, and central spot to stay, this is it!
