This resort is one of those special places you find that redefines a vacation. It is about a 15 minute boat ride from the dock, occupying the back side of Isla Grande and looking out to the Caribbean Sea. We were there during low season in July, and were fortunate enough to be one of just a few visitors staying at the time. The wonderful staff contributed to this being one of our most cherished travel destinations. Ricardo, Jose and Daniel at the restaurants were so incredibly warm and welcoming, in addition to Tiffany and Marcella in the office, and we quickly felt a part of their community. We enjoyed meeting the owners of the resort who introduced themselves over dinner and we’re also incredibly kind and friendly. Overall, the food was delicious, the rooms were clean and spacious, and our boys (10&12) love the games area and resort facilities. We would highly recommend!

The owners, Rick and Loan, could not be nicer. They had advice for us on what to see and do during our time in Panama which proved very helpful. The staff, particularly Juan, David and Ricardo, were excellent - attentive and friendly. We rented a car from the airport in Panama City and drove ourselves to other side of the country. While not many miles, it will take you over two hours. I would suggest getting full insurance if you get a rental car since the roads on the Caribbean side of the country can be a bit "interesting" with large, unexpected potholes. However, upon arrival to the resort's secured parking area, their boat was waiting for us to take us to Isle Grande. What a way to arrive - we felt so special! I was initially concerned about being at a remote resort and having to eat only what was available. Boy, was I wrong! The food was excellent - some of the best we encountered during our three-week holiday throughout Peru and Panama. The room was quite nice and the view of the Caribbean Sea awesome. While we are not "water sports" people, the resort offered many options for those who do like being in the sea. We were content with the pool. An unique stay. I wish the resort were more convenient - we would definitely return - but I guess its location off the beaten path makes it the attractive place it is.

El hotel es una belleza, todo estaba extremadamente limpio, las habitaciones y áreas comunes súper cómodas. La atención de todo el personal es del más alto nivel y te hacen sentir como en casa. Las atracciones también son muy buenas y la comida excepcional.

The resort was outstanding. It exceeded expectations in every way. The service was the best we had in Panama. The cocktails were fun and the food was delicious and they have a vegan menu. We stayed in a king room and it was very private, pristine and well appointed.

Schönes Resort mit großen, hellen und sehr sauberen Zimmern, toller Aussicht und sehr guter Küche. Die Handtücher dufteten angenehm, die Bettwäsche war butterweich. Das Personal war in den ersten zwei Tagen sehr freundlich, später leider nicht durchgehend. Beim Frühstück waren trotz Buchung inklusive nur zwei Getränke und eine Option enthalten, alles Weitere kostenpflichtig. Zudem waren wir mit etwa 8 Gästen die einzigen, und für mehr als zwei Tage wird es etwas langweilig, da es keine fußläufigen Angebote gibt. Insgesamt gut für einen kurzen, ruhigen Aufenthalt.

The best service in Panama!!! We truly felt cared for in every detail — the team is attentive, warm, and genuinely professional. The food was outstanding: the chef is exceptional! Every dish reflected passion, quality, and pride. This hotel is located on a beautiful Caribbean island, surrounded by untouched nature, turquoise waters, and a truly magical atmosphere. What made it even more special was the silence and privacy — only the sound of the waves and the singing of birds!) A wonderful resort and a place we’ll definitely return to!

Nice resort with beautiful views! The highlights for us was the most hospitable property owners ! The personalized attention made us feel welcomed and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable! Next the food! Literally farm to table vegetables that you can literally pick yourself! What a unique delight! The staff were all amazing ! Special shout out to chef Steve who made every request his mission ! The massages were heavenly! Yoga with Roya! The endless activities with Louise !!!!!! Jet skis! Paddle board! Kayak! Fishing ! Hike to the lighthouse ! birdwatching ! The only downside is the distance from the airport but I guess that’s why it is the hidden gem of Panama with blue Caribbean waters which you don’t find on the Pacific side of Panama! The Ordovician Hotel is a hidden gem on the peaceful west side of Isla Grande. From the moment we booked, the service was personal and seamless—thank you, Yohan! We were welcomed by name, greeted with a delicious tropical drink, and felt like cherished guests from start to finish. We stayed in the Peacock Room, which had stunning views of the pool, restaurant, and beach. The room was beautifully curated, with luxurious bedding, high-end amenities, and thoughtful touches like a handwritten welcome card. The food was phenomenal, fusing Panamanian flavors with Asian influences—fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. Special thanks to Sebastián, Chef Stiven, and the entire team for making every meal a delight. The outdoor massage on the yoga deck overlooking the ocean was magical, and we loved relaxing in the sauna, cold plunge, and hammocks under shaded palapas. We even extended our stay an extra day! A heartfelt thank-you to Rick and Loan for their vision, presence, and commitment to uplifting Panamanian talent. This place is more than a hotel—it’s an experience of luxury, soul, and connection.
