The location was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that the TV didn't work and the plug to the teapot was torn so we couldn't use it.

Great location

Lovely hotel with a wonderful vibe, helpful staff, and a good breakfast - try the overnight oats. Right in the thick of Latin Quarter, walking distance to dining, pubs, etc

We cannot say enough great things about this hotel. The location in the Latin Quarter was a block from all the action (live music, pubs, restaurants, street performers), and a few blocks to the river/coastline. It was extremely clean. Every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly, helpful and jovial. Their breakfast was the best we’ve had in our 11 days in the UK, AND when I was desperate for help, Paige and her team exceeded all expectations in helping me. (I left our passports and cash in the hotel safe, realizing it only after we arrived in Dublin! They helped me find a same-day courier, packaged our belongings, and kept everything safe until the courier arrived. Truly amazing!) When we return to Galway, we will only stay here!

Breakfast was good and our stay was nice

Awesome location. Great Breakfast. large room.

Very nice hotel. Great location next to the Latin Quarter. Excellent and very convenient breakfast.

Very clean, simple hotel easily walkable to the Latin Quarter.

My wife and I stayed at The House Hotel shortly after Christmas this year. I made and paid for the booking through my Hotels.com account. Upon check-in, the receptionist requested my card details to cover any incidental or additional charges that might arise during our stay. We checked out the following morning, and no extra charges were incurred. Several months later, while reviewing my transactions, I noticed an additional charge on my card. To my surprise, The House Hotel had charged me again for the room, despite the accommodation having already been fully paid for through Hotels.com. While the hotel ultimately reimbursed the duplicate charge and apologised for the error, this only occurred after I identified the issue myself and contacted management to raise the matter. Had I not reviewed my transactions and pursued it, the overcharge may well have gone unnoticed. I found this experience deeply disappointing and wholly unacceptable. As someone who travels frequently for work and stays in hotels throughout the year, I have never encountered a situation where I was incorrectly charged for accommodation that had already been paid for in full. What is particularly disappointing is that the error was not identified by the hotel itself. Given that the duplicate charge was processed by the hotel, I would have expected robust internal controls to detect the mistake and for management to contact me proactively by email to advise me of the error and arrange a refund. Instead

Great location; helpful staff; small but functional rooms; very nice breakfast
