Room is too old need to renovate

Ok units, a bit old, need to renovation to catch up with competitor and time

The unit was huge and comfortable Conveniently connected to a mall. The GM was very efficient and the hospitality was great A must stay if ever in Shanghai

Service was excellent but facilities a little run down and the mall was a local mall undergoing renovations so a little loud from our room

Dissapointed that bedsheets were not changed during whole stay 5 night! Room was smelly and looked a bit run down. The aircon rather noisy and a nearby construction site noise was too much.

Grace was helpful in finding me a room that was clean and located not to the last room of the floor.

Cleanliness could be improved

Room was nice, mall next door was convenient. Don't eat at the hotel though.

Overall okay experience with lots of space; however, the price and the service doesn't make it a excellent deal.

The reason I am rating this Oakwood a 1-star is because of the night front desk staff. She was extremely rude~I have never encountered a hotel staff this rude and I travel a lot for work and pleasure! For almost $250/night hotel, I wasn't expecting this terrible service. We got to the hotel late at night (almost midnight) to check in after a long flight. We're a family of 4 (2 kids of 11 and 16 years old). It is our first time in Shanghai so we had a few questions about the area but she said she doesn't speak English (and did not even try to help answer any of our concerns). We also had a flight to Beijing early morning, and we had to leave the hotel at 5 am. This same rude front desk staff was so upset because we had to wake her up to ask for help with a taxi to the airport. I will not stay here again~very disappointing for we stayed at other Oakwood in different Asian countries and the service was so much better than this one in Shanghai.
