My stay at Summit Hotel Tacloban City was a mixed bag. On the cleanliness side, I'd rate it 3 stars — the hotel needs to step up its housekeeping standards overall, as several areas could have been noticeably cleaner during my visit. That said, the operations team more than made up for it, and I'm giving that side a full 5 stars. A special shoutout to Ely Laurent Almeria, who provided excellent service throughout my stay. He was attentive, accommodating, and went out of his way to make sure all my needs were met — including honoring my request for a very early check-in at 8AM on my arrival date, which I really appreciated. Another highlight was the local food offered during my stay — a nice touch that added a lot of value to the overall experience. Overall, if the housekeeping and cleanliness standards are improved, this hotel has real potential given how strong the staff and service side already is.

John Paul is the absolute best!!! He provided so much quality service and I truly greatful! He is the star that shines!

I chose to stay at this hotel for the convenience since its adjacent to the Mall and Market if i need any or get bored thinking about traveling with children I give 3 star for the cleanliness only bcoz the chair inside the room was stained and should get attention also the window glass looking out was terrible very dirty Bed was comfortable, staff was friendly

The hotel is nice and located across from mall less than minute from the hotel’s lobby. The WiFi is good and good AC. The property does need to be repaired a bit. The electric lock on the door was loose, multiple cracks in the walls and AC housing ceiling was pulling apart and the bathroom sink had a small hole in the sink. Overall a good stay but like I said needs to be maintained a bit more.

The property staff were helpful and friendly especially the the front door staff always greeting us with a smile and willing to help at any moment. Shower was not warm and bathroom sink tough to turn off especially for my wife and the air conditioner stayed cold all the time for 4days even when we tried to adjust the control still stayed cold must not be installed properly. We informed the front desk and received apology only. the hotel seemed to be almost fully booked according to our friends who also stayed there and could only get a suite which is more than they needed.

Great location! Robinson Mall is just across the street, it’s only 15-20 minutes from the airport.

House cleaning should be done everyday..
