Loved the breakfast option. The staff were very kind, respectful and friendly. House keeping service was great. The building is close to many hot spots in capetown and getting to places was easy

Conveniently located by shops and restaurants/ bars on Long Street, this hotel is clean and really nicely decorated. The breakfast was delicious, the beds super comfy, the bathrooms modern, and the rooms nice and quiet. What really stood out was how thoughtful and helpful the staff were — especially at the front desk. I've stayed here a couple of times now and can't wait to come back next year.

This is a boutique hotel with character. If you need everything totally modern, it might not be for you but I enjoyed it. The room was clean and cozy with no odors. Heath wise, I just did not like the dark carpet in the room. I kept shoes on at all times. They need to upgrade to laminate flooring. The old time elevator was a treat. Breakfast was fantastic. The area is great for walking. I’d stay there again.

Funky hotel near fun bars and restaurants

Great central location, Wonderful staff, great menu, lovely large rooms with ice and refrigerators.

The food at the restaurant was bland and unremarkable.

I chose the Grand Daddy for the convenience of location and it's overall heritage/funky vibe. As it was our first visit to Cape Town, we were unaware of how "lively" Long Street is! Unfortunately, there was also a party within the hotel on the night we had a 4:30 am flight. I assume this happens often as earplugs were left in the room. If you are interested in the party scene, this is the place to be. The staff was wonderful, the Hotel was very clean and our room itself was comfortable. Breakfast included was very nice and there were no issues with the wifi.
