Nice hotel which I found really quiet at night. A good location for getting the Airport Bus and walking to the hotel. Everywhere worth seeing in central Madrid is walkable from the hotel. And what a beautiful city it is. Whilst the royal palace is the main attraction and well worth booking a tour round, the city itself is really enjoyable to wander around looking at the lovely buildings that are beautifully painted with decorative art and spend time in the many gorgeous plazas. The only downside of this location is the hill you have to walk up to reach the city centre, but if you're fit it's not a problem!

Please note my stay was moved by the hotel to the Hilton, as there was a maintenance issue at the Mercure. Staff handled this efficiently and with excellent communication

Amazing Stay – Can’t Wait to Come Back!
From the moment I walked in to check in until the moment I checked out, the staff was absolutely amazing. I had tons of questions about the city and getting around, and everyone was incredibly friendly, patient, and helpful. Their recommendations made exploring so much easier!
My room was spotless, and housekeeping did a fantastic job throughout my stay. The amenities were great as well — everything I needed was right there.
The location couldn’t have been better. It’s right in the middle of many popular tourist spots, all within walking distance, which made sightseeing super convenient.
Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will definitely be staying here again!
