The driver will call you one night in advance to confirm the pick-up time. Please pay attention to your phone. If you have not received a call after 8 PM, please contact your dedicated customer service.
Xiahe County is at an altitude of about 2900 meters. Since this is your first night in Gannan, try not to take a bath. You can eat more vegetables and fruits, drink more water, and it's best not to smoke or drink alcohol, nor to do strenuous exercise, to prevent altitude sickness.
Although the itinerary includes highly-rated local accommodations, most of the areas involved are Tibetan regions, so it is inevitable that there will be some butter lamp smell indoors. Please be mentally prepared to adapt to local customs.
When entering a monastery, please note: you need to take off your hat, do not make noise after entering, do not point at Buddha statues with your fingers, and no photos are allowed inside any hall. In addition, please respect the beliefs and customs of local ethnic minorities.
Some people may want to ride horses when entering the grassland, but horse riding is a high-risk activity. Be sure to pay attention to safety, and you assume the risks yourself.
