Clean rooms. Good location. Excellent staff. Kitchen in room was very useful. Breakfast was sufficient. Hit the spot Hotel overall was very good, but needs a refresh and is beginning to show its age. Building works all round the area, so hard to avoid noise. It was the down season so it is expected that work would be happening in the area in preparation for the high season. Just be aware that there is a major building under construction next door.

Our stay at Grand Kata VIP exceeded every expectation and was one of the highlights of our first trip to Thailand. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and treated us like valued guests rather than just another reservation. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible team. Every staff member was warm, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to accommodate our family. Whether it was answering questions, helping with transportation, offering local recommendations, or making sure everything was perfect during our stay, nothing ever seemed like too much trouble. Their kindness and attention to detail made us feel completely at home. The hotel itself was beautiful, comfortable, and in a fantastic location, making it easy to enjoy everything Kata has to offer. After long days exploring Phuket, it was the perfect place to relax. This was our first visit to Thailand, and Grand Kata VIP played a huge part in making it such an unforgettable experience. We will absolutely be returning, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for making our vacation so special—we can’t wait to come back!

The staff is great. The room was great. The content was limited with little English on TV, but OK with World Cup. The only short coming no shuttle to beach right now a bit of a walk.

Enjoyed the staff The closeness to the street food and it's great vibes Pity it wasn't closer to the beach .The staff at reception were really good and obliging .The room cleaners did a great job .Will go back again when all the street roadworks around hotel are completed

It wasn’t the best Thai hotel I’ve stayed in but it was still nice. The breakfast was a 3 out of 10. Every time I ordered my eggs they were cold and pre-cooked at reception. The friendly room service staff was good. Both pools were decent. I feel the cocktails and menu items are a bit pricey.

This place is amazing. Location is excellent. Staff is very friendly. Everything you want is minutes away. 7 -eleven, money exchange, massage parlor, restaurants and the beach. Night market has different types of food. Fruits stand. Clothes vendors. My family were very happy. We were able to stay in a 3 bedroom suites.

Great location, conveniently close to essential amenities such as restaurants, food markets, pharmacies, and supermarkets. The beach is 10 minutes walk. The pool area is comfortable and inviting. The buffet breakfast is decent, especially considering it was included in the room rate in my case. Rooms are spacious and offer good value for the price. At the time of writing, I’d recommend using Grab for transport and platforms like Klook or Agoda to secure good deals on tours and cultural experiences.

Nice staff and good location, unexpected constructions going on, so kind of a negtive influence to our stay this time.

Staff were super friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. There is a building site next door which was the only downside but this will be a short term issue. The pool area is not huge, but the beach isn’t far away so not a major issue
