One night at the Capella between two photography tours, and it has set a new benchmark for what a hotel can be. Booked a Premier Room, upgraded unprompted to a Studio Grand Suite with a separate living and dining areas, marble bathroom with freestanding tub, Bamford amenities, a handwritten welcome card from the GM, and hand-painted wooden tortoises as a turndown gift. None of it felt like a script. The design is the property's real achievement: a new build executing a confident 1920s French-Vietnamese deco vocabulary, every detail considered down to the bakelite phone in the ensuite. Two throwaway comments I made on arrival were quietly referenced by multiple staff that evening. Anticipatory personalisation usually associated with Ritz-Carlton, executed here with more restraint. Dinner at Backstage was outstanding. I'll be back.

Excellent stay!!!

Was expecting way more after having a really nice experience in Sydney’s Capella. This is way overpriced at $800 (and it’s the off season), locally and internationally. This should be closer to $200. The gym was horribly equipped. The noise isolation in rooms is garbage — you can hear the loud traffic loudly in some rooms. Internet connection is spotty, it constantly timeouts. The staff is nice and attentive without overpushing. The design is quite distinctive. Didn’t click for me, but maybe someone will appreciate it.

The room was simply breathtaking- refined, elegant, and filled with exquisite details. Every corner tells you a story of craftsmanship and care. The service was impeccable, the team was warm and incredibly attentive.

Excellent property but nothing else is good around it. Convenient since it connects you to Fansipas internally. Not much dining options. View given to us from our room was awful. Pool is amazing.

Beautiful unique colonial era room. The cleanliness was of a very high standard and the breakfast was one of the most memorable aspects of the stay. Location is perfect as it’s a close stroll to anything in the old quarter.

Everything first class. Maybe beyond first class.

We already miss it already! My husband and I's favorite hotel we have ever stayed in. The hotel in itself is an experience from the soiree's they have to the fun themed rooms themselves. The food is excellent as well as they are Michelin recommended. Perfect for those looking for a unique spunky hotel that has aesthetics taking you back to the Roaring 20s.
