It’s a great location and not a fortune but definitely an older style, worn out feeling hotel. The room was incredibly small and bathroom even smaller. Only 1 sink and very little counter space. I couldn’t even put my makeup bag on it. It was only 1 night before flying home so we didn’t splurge but sort of regretted it.
The staff took forever to check us in and we missed our $500 4 hour tour which was very unfortunate. They were training someone but please don’t do that to tourists staying 1 day in Madrid. Very disappointing

Great hotel! Location was perfect for visiting the Prado, Sofia Reina, and Retiro Park. One in our group uses a wheel chair and bathroom for handicapped individual was very good. Restaurant adjacent to hotel is very good too.

Breakfast is excellent. It is buffet style with lots of fresh fruit choices, baked goods, cheeses, Iberian ham, etc. Staff are attentive. Bathroom for handicapped was very good.
