The best thing about the property is the location. The best way to describe the room is plastic. The bath/shower controls were dirty and the control for the bathtub was missing. The A/C was fine and the bed fairly comfortable. The cost of the room was outrageous as a result of the timing; it was Georgetown University's graduation weekend. There were 2 bottles of water, coffee and tea available downstairs and no bathroom amenities.

When I arrived, the hotel room door was wide open, which made me feel very unsafe. There was also no deadbolt, and the safety latch was not securely attached to the door; none of the screws were tightened properly. In addition, the check-in instructions could have been much clearer. Overall, as a woman traveling alone, I would not feel comfortable staying at this property again.

Everything was nice

Location is excellent! Charming little hotel. It sits on the end of a row of beautifully restored old houses along the canal one block from the main road that’s lined with shops & restaurants in the heart of old Georgetown. There’s a parking garage directly across the street, 2 very nice coffee shops/bakeries within 1-2 blocks, an Italian restaurant next door, & it sits directly on the canal. Fantastic location & great price. Nice linens & it was very clean too!

Air conditioning was perfect! Clean and great location!

Easy walking location.

Pros; Great location, clean, comfortable bed, close to restaurants and shops, communal kitchen in the basement with a microwave. Cons; the water pressure in the building is super low, it's literally a trickle of water what you have to take a shower. Walls are thin. Our room #11, had a window air-conditioning and it was not cold enough at night so I'm guessing in summer must get pretty hot. The room doesn't have a coffee maker. But overall I could definitely stay there again if in the area.

The room and bathroom were very clean. The air conditioning was amazing. The complementary umbrella was SO helpful! The check in process was smooth and we were able to check in early. The area is EXTREMELY walkable. If you rent an electric bike/ scooter, you can ride 18 mins to all the monuments/ museums, which is a cheap alternative to an uber. Overall great experience!

The canal had no water and we were disappointed because this was the reason we booked the hotel. It wasn’t what we expected but we ended up enjoying ourselves with the hotel being right in the midst of Georgetown. It was clean and tidy and very historic. The bed was comfortable. The room was kinda slanted due to its age but we got used to it!
