For this type of hotel/category, there's a number of things that need improving: 1) Check-in: firstly, the hotel charges a €50-75 charge for an early check-in. This seems excessive and out in line with hotels in far more cosmopolitan cities. It's a small hotel, so room turnover etc should be more manageable. Secondly, the check-in desk is too small and ill-positioned so that when you do everyone have suddenly checking in at once, it forms a line with people not really having anywhere to sit/wait. Everything seemed a bit overly complicated 2) Bar/Restaurant - I understand the fine-dining restaurant is run by a third party, but not having any alternative on those 3 days the restaurant is closed (Sun-Tue) is unacceptable for a hotel of that category. 3) breakfast: messy... they only clean the tables once everyone's finished, so when I came down I ended cleaning my own table to find a seat. When I went to get my own granola,I was then told that it was table service. This really needs to be improved as whilst the breakfast itself was lovely and the staff friendly (I think he was on his own, and therfore potentially a bit stretched), it wasn't a great welcome experience. Again, for a hotel of that category I would expect more and better.

Excellent check in,room wasn't quite ready but was shown to a comfortable seating/waiting area and brought a glass of cava while I waited no more than 10 minutes,room was spotlessly clean and bed was very comfortable,a great stay.

On a quiet street, very pretty hotel, convenient walk from the station. Our room was a bit snug but it was efficiently designed. Upgraded bathroom was key.
