It felt like I was royalty in a palace. I usually stay in stone town, this was a nice break!

Room was nice, clean. Breakfast was ok, nothing great. I arranged for a shuttle pick up as my flight arrived in early hours of the morning 2am. Hotel confirmed everything via email. Unfortunately when i arrived the shuttle did not show up. As a solo female traveller and my first time in Zanzibar, i felt let down, i was fortunate to find a friendly airport porter who assisted me with finding a reputable taxi.

Near the airport. Very comfortable beds and beautiful room. Nice breakfast and great personnel. Being with kids, we preferred staying in this nice location instead of Stone Town which is very crowded and then having a walking tour to Stone Town. Would come again.

The hotel itself is really nice, however the management is piss poor .. the knowledge of the employees is slightly embarrassing

I stayed in the newly built portion of the hotel. The staff were wonderful. The hotel is beautiful. The pool area is a sight to see. This was a solo travel and I felt safe. The elevator will only go to the floor of your room key. This is a plus for safety. You can literally walk from the hotel to the airport. The airport pickup is $10. A but excessive for a hotel that is literally next door. I did however see a couple roaches in the hallway and one in the room, hence why I gave 4 stars instead of 5

When I checked in to my hotel they told me I had already paid. I didn’t question it because sometimes I prepay and sometimes I don’t. They then called out to my room 30 mins later saying whoops you actually didn’t pay. They told I needed to come down and pay or they could send someone up to my room. As a woman traveling alone I thought it was weird they would even offer to come up to my room. I went down to pay and they took 15 mins to figure out how much I was supposed to pay. The room was clearly a smoking room and smelled terrible. I had them schedule a taxi to leave super early in the morning for the airport the next day. When I showed up downstairs no taxi was scheduled and we had to start from scratch. Not great.
