The stay at KAI Beppu was nothing short of amazing. It was my first time in Beppu, and staying at KAI made the experience truly memorable. The sea-view shakkei was beautiful and definitely the highlight.
The room was well-sized, and the indoor onsen was a godsend. The kaiseki meals were also delicious, and choosing the half-board option was a great decision.
The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly, and always smiling. I would definitely come back and explore more KAI and Hoshino Resorts properties. This stay has made me an even bigger Hoshino fan.

Food was very average - and mass catered. Both the dinner and breakfast looked like they were prepared hours before service 3/10

Very nice room with sea views. Centrally located near a shopping mall and many restaurants. Unfortunately, no western food options contrary to some other Hoshino resorts so this can be challenge for some and especially children. Otherwise a very nice and pleasant stay.

Amazing view, amazing food quality and amazing service, big bath is okay so I recommend choosing a room including bath on the balcony

An absolute perfect stay from the room itself to the astonishing service standards in the hotel as well as the meals we had in the hotel. It is hard to describe in words how good the experience had been. Would given it a 6 stars if possible.

Room is great as per photo and the meals were good especially the upgrade dinner. Staff services were great however this hotel is not value for money. Not for the price you pay. I think the hotel need to look into enhancing providing better coffee and tea, tea room should provide some snacks, room should have a basket for used Japanese clothes provided. The hair dryer is a bit 3 star hotel hair dryer. Just lacking the 5 star hotel amenities you will normally see. Basically is just a beautiful room.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. The room is incredible, with the sea view and Japanese style, but really contemporary. Service was perfect and the food was really incredible. Best hotel!

Hotel is in a very good location in Beppu. Room faces the sea and has a private onsen which is amazing!
