The entrance to the hotel was hard to find when we arrived. Staff was courteous and helpful. Neighborhood was questionable feeling. Neighboring building where loud at night making sleep difficult

Great stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit, making the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again.

After a disappointing experience at another hotel in Athens, finding Play Theatrou was a huge relief. From the moment I arrived, I knew I had made the right choice. The hotel appears to be recently renovated with a clean, modern, minimalist design that is both stylish and comfortable. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was ice cold, the water pressure was excellent, and there was plenty of hot water after long days of sightseeing. For the price, I thought it was an exceptional value. The location is one of the hotel's greatest strengths. It is next to the Central Municipal Athens Market (Varvakios Agora), about a five-minute walk to Monastiraki Square and the hop-on hop-off bus stop, and surrounded by excellent restaurants. One of my favorites was the traditional Greek restaurant next door, which made it easy to enjoy authentic Greek food after a day of exploring.

Staff as usual are outstanding

The hotel was very central, staff were polite on the rare occasion we dealt with them, it was very noisy outside nearly all night and inside until quite late. My main issue with the property is that I booked this hotel because it had a hot tub , when we ventured to the top in our first evening, the hot tub wasn’t working and looked like it hadn’t been working for a while and when we asked they said there were technical problems and they didn’t know when this would be sorted. So I think this amenity should be taken off until it is fixed and as I 100% would not have booked if this was not on there.

The staff were good, the property is well situated for Athens centre and some good restaurants nearby. Downsides: run down buildings very near, didn’t bother us too much but might do to others. Roof top bar not open 7 people up there but bar shut. Jaccuzi not in use.

Everything was great. Staff at the front desk were super helpful and nice. The room was really nice and clean. Would absolutely stay here again!

The hotel staff are very kind and attentive. The hotel and rooms are in a very good condition. In my experience I could not really sleep well because the noises on the street. Perhaps this happened because the exact location of my room. Nevertheless, I will consider staying again and ask for a different room.
