The Marriott Kaohsiung is a top class hotel offering a full range of amenities. The staff are all friendly, professional and always willing to help you. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. This a great location with easy access to subway, light rail and taxis to get anywhere in Kaohsiung! Have stayed here many times and will do so again!

Great breakfast and condition, gym should be 24 hourse

Convenient location with shops inside premise and outside within walking distance. Rooms were clean and spacious. This is a large hotel with long hallways to rooms. Keeps this in mind to request a room closer to elevators if travelling with elderly or small children.

There was no hot water for showers on 3/16/2026 in room 5018.

Room and food quality are good. However it’s quite unpleasant being refused to use the Gym for my 13 year old son. My son is already taller and stronger than me. It’s a ridiculous policy and I won’t visit again.

The hotel's furnishings are nice. Rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. The hotel is located above a large shopping mall which, depending on your preferences, can be a positive or negative. However, this really isnt a 5 star caliber property. Some reviewers have likened it to a JW Marriott. It is not. The negatives: Service needs a lot of work. They really don't offer much beyond cursory help. Nobody takes your luggage to your room for you. You will not have anyone take you to your room and provide you with a walkthrough and instructions. The elevators are an absolute mess. Different elevators to different floors. Always extremely crowded and chaotic. Be prepared to spend up to 5 minutes waiting for an elevator, and then another 5 minutes packed like sardines to reach your room or the lobby to and from a high floor. The elevator setup is basically that of a very cheap Vegas casino. Breakfast buffet is sadly the worst I have had compared to all other luxury hotels I have stayed in. Be warned, most options are greasy, fried, unhealthy. No premium offerings like fresh seafood. Seafood congee smelled very fishy. No international offerings and the menu leans heavily towards less mainstream choices among Taiwanese cuisine. Would have appreciated some more options from an international chain. Lobby is often crowded due to the adjacent mall and all the shoppers. Not terrible, but disappointing for the price. I cannot recommend.
