AlterEgo B&B is located conveniently near the central square and several restraunts, shops and many historical and religious sites. Assisi is very hilly. AlterEgo is "downhill" from the top bus stop and the proprietor showed us a flatter way to catch the bus leaving. The room was spotless. The bed comfortable. Breakfast is available from a hotel around the corner for 5euro. We would stay there again.

Great location by the main piazza Staff quickly met us Clean room and bathroom Unexpected surprise, they made up the bed the next day while we were out and about!

Great place to stay!

Basic small hotel in a great location, right in the center of Assisi but far enough from the main square to be unaffected by noise from restaurants or tourist traffic. It's an old building, though, so you'll hear sounds from other guests and staff, including radio, tv, doors opening and closing, etc. It's quiet at night, and the AC works well. Room was advertised as having breakfast included, and many reviews mentioned a great breakfast, but the host didn't say anything about breakfast at check-in. A card in my room said breakfast was self-service, but the breakfast room only had vending machines with no prices and instructions only in Italian. The two elderly people who were in the room watching tv didn't offer to help (or really even say anything in response to my Buon Giorno) despite my obvious confusion, so perhaps they were also guests and didn't know what to do either. I found breakfast elsewhere, but if this matters to you ask for instructions at check-in.

What a GEM of a place! The gentlemen at the BnB was kind and works really hard to keep this place in tip top shape. He is kind, welcoming, and very helpful. The BnB is very clean and comfortable, everything we expected and more. I wished we had plan a day or two longer in Assisi, we would have been at home here. I hope to return to Assisi in the future and given the amazing stay and great hospitality we were shown, I would choose and recommend Alter Ego again and again! Bravo SIR, you are doing amazing!

Parking was not all that good and we had to park in a location that required a fee. Welcoming and the breakfast was good. Good location and adequate room in the facility

Great stay with an cordial and accommodating owner. Great location right in the center. Comfortable clean room. Highly recommended if you’re staying in the amazing city of Assisi.

Because it’s in the historic center of Assisi, parking is a few minutes away by car. There is a covered lot for €14 for 24 hours and a free public lot a little further away. Check in is easy and the rooms are basic but comfortable. Great for a short stay.

Giordano was a fantastic host! Property is in an excellent location. Parking is off site and a long arduous walk away. That being said, once parked, the car was not needed until leaving Assisi. Would definitely recommend this place!!!!
