I absolutely loved my stay at the
Beach Hotel Sunshine Ishigakijima in Ishigaki. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, the onsen felt private, clean and relaxing and we loved lying by the pool with hotel-provided towels. Best of all, the restaurant staff went out of their way to help me eat gluten-free safely. As someone with celiac disease, this is a rare and very appreciated service. I am so grateful to them for making our family vacation the trip of a lifetime. Thank you Sunshine Beach!

The pool was a bit cool for swimming, but we expected that at this time of year. It was great, though, sitting out in the sun loungers around the pool and enjoying the sun and sea.
