Such a grand place to stay :)

The staff were all good, very helpful and obliging. The hotel has obviously been a tremendous building over the years, but is in need of a lot of TLC. The lighting is poor and it would brighten the place up a bit if some appropriate modern lighting was installed. Our bed was not that comfortable, but a couple of wines the second night made it a bit better. There is no lift in the hotel, so luggage has to be carried upstairs by hand. The shower is above the bath and not the best for elderly guests. On the better side, the continental breakfast, whilst pretty basic, is ample. Finally, would we stay at this hotel again - probably not, but it was certainly an experience on this particular stay.

Poor grouting and loose tiles in the bath

Staff was very efficient

The staff was friendly and the hotel charming. It does need a coat of paint, however, and the pipes need a bit of updating, and I am told that work is scheduled to start soon.

The rooms would benefit from a refresh; the flooring creaked and the rug needs replacing. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful.

Lovely little studio room we were given, and it was spotless. Staff were amazing and thank you for the late check out.

Staff were amazing!

Great value for money. The staff provided the best service I've ever experienced. Incredibly accommodating and flexible, but not in-your-face. They made everything easy and stressfree.

Must let you knw that bed was very uncomfortable and we didn't always have hot water or water at all for the showers.
