The room was an acceptable size for a twin. Some of the sockets were not working and the radiators were turned off, despite the freezing temperatures outside. Being plumbed heating it took a long time to come through. The beds were quite short, anyone over 6 ft would struggle. Breakfast was great if you got there at opening. If you arrived an hour later the hot food was burned, overcooked and not being replaced

Good value for the price considering the Tour de France Grand Depart was in the city. Situated in a nice, quiet area of the Metropole with good parking and easy access to the main city. Bedroom is a bit dated but big and it did get warm with just one fan to cool the large room. The rest of the hotel is clean and slightly dated, but it was value for money. The staff were very friendly and there were English speaking staff there, but they did let me try and speak my GCSE French before taking over which was nice. Didn't have breakfast or the bar but it looked clean in there as well. Recommended for a quick, cheap trip

The staff was excellent and very helpful and kind The breakfast was great and the room was clean Only issue was that there was no air conditioning but they provided a fan We recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place

Booked for 4 people. Not enough bedding.

Only stayed for one night whilst watching the Olympics at the nearby stadium. Great parking at the hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if visiting, the only strange thing about the location was that it was in the middle of the University campus.

Great location for the stadium BUT no weekend restaurant. We arrived on Friday for a 3 night stay to be told restaurant only opens Monday to Thursday evenings. As hotel is in the middle of a university complex, no other options were nearby. Eventually found a lovely restaurant called Le Table beside the stadium which was open on the Friday. Take the metro into Lille for restaurants.
