Dirty floor, including visible stains and spill marks; Signs of mould and moisture in the corners of the room; Darkened/dried streaks of liquid on the wall; Scuffed, scratched and stained walls; Torn and worn-out curtains. Receptionist even didn't ask about my stay or for any issues; in the breakfast restaurant the roof was leaking 😒, breakfast was basic, no fresh bakery/pastries...

THE MOST AMAZING LOCATION ONE COULD WISH FOR! EVERYTHING IN SOFIA IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE HOTEL.

Centrally located to main sightseeing areas, and next to Serdika train station which is convenient. Staff not overly friendly or helpful. Room is neat, but dusty in some areas. Had issues with the curtain and bathroom door not being able to be closed. Maintenance was quickly dispatched which was great. He fixed the curtain, but looked at the bathroom door and said 'big job', then walked off. He never came back to fix it the next day. Had an issue with a double booking being made due to a third party website glitch which resulted in me being charged twice for identical bookings made for the same dates. Had alot of issues trying to get refund from the hotel (who were adamant that they weren't going to refund the duplicate booking charge as it was a 'non-refundable' booking. Yes, I understand what this means - however, I'm appalled that a "five" star hotel is so greedy that they chose to keep the small amount (around $210 AUD) for the booking over showing some good will and making an exception when they can clearly see it's been a double booking error by the agency website. Staff at reception NOT HELPFUL at all - they kept giving me the runaround eg. see reservation team, they're not working on weekends, talk to the agency instead etc. Still have not received refund from hotel or agency. This will surely cost the hotel more in lost revenue due to word of mouth & poor reviews from myself in future

Just a fabulous place. Rooms can get a bit warm but shut the curtains and leave the aircon on and it was fine.

The hotel has obviously been renovated in recent times. The bathroom is decent with a good shower and amenities. The bed is very comfortable but one has to be an engineer to navigate the newly installed lighting options. So complicated and some architectural features in the room are dangerous as they can connect with the head. The standard of housekeeping was exceptionally low. Bed was made sloppily. Tissues and water not replaced. Dirty cups left on bedside table and toothpaste smeared over base of mirror. Toilet not cleaned properly. Hallway carpet was obviously NOT vacuumed in the 4 nights we were there. The hotel is situated very well and close to shopping transport and venues. Breakfast was very good and room service delivered fresh milk very quickly to us. However the standard of housekeeping and client relations needs a major restructuring.

Well worth it and in the heart of Sofia.

A lot of the staff doesn't speak Bulgarian. Place feels outdated. Not the luxury experience one would expect from the historical central location, former Sheraton.

I like that the hotel is in a good location. You can walk to many sites easily. The bed is comfortable, the shower is good, but the breakfast was not good. There wasn't a huge selection to choose from.

The hotel is very well located, close to historical places, restaurants, and to the subway. The personnel were very nice, especially Dmitri.
