I didn’t like the service at breakfast restaurant

They don't allow people to eat at the lobby. All the staff seem very nice and professional. The Hotel is clean and quiet in the bedroom. I ask the hotel staff to sign a paper which I need to get a cash refund from JAL airline which canceled my flight. JAL would compensate for the hotel stay. The first staff refused, he said he would not do that. I asked another staff in the morning, and she was very nice and she signed the paperwork. This hotel offers buses run directly to Narita and Haneda airports, which is very convenient. This hotel offers great buffet and the location of this hotel is the center of Ikebukuro.

The location is perfect for my needs. Staff are always so friendly and kind. I will keep staying in this hotel whenever I visit Tokyo.

Really enjoyed my stay here for 8 nights! The staff was very kind and welcoming, and spoke very fluent English. My bed was always made when I came back from a long day of walking and activities. Conveniently located near the Ikebukuro Station, there are a ton of places to eat and shop nearby the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those traveling to Japan and want to stay outside the larger cities!

Excellent location and v clean room

The location is convenient as it's only 5 mins walk to the JR station. There are many restaurants in this area, which you will never find yourself hungry. This hotel is clean and the staffs are quite friendly. We will definitely return next time we fly to Tokyo.

We stayed here from June 24- Jul 7. The staff was great. They were all very friendly and helpful. I utilized the bell captain desk to make the limousine bus reservation and the concierge to make reservations for restaurants around Tokyo and they were both excellent. The only encounter I felt a little off putting was from the male receptionist who checked me in. He was not rude, maybe he was tired? Our room was as expected. Housekeeping did a great job. No complaints there. We got fresh towels and our amenities were stocked daily. The water pressure in the shower was very good. The coin laundry service was also great. The laundry room was well kept and very clean. It was very convenient to have that service connected to our TV in our room so we can watch in real time which machines were available and how much time was left on them. So convenient. We also utilized the restaurant on the main floor for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Although the service was great, we only ate breakfast twice there (thank goodness we didn't pay for the entirety of our stay) since it was the same foods daily. It was a buffet set up but two days in a row of the same choices was enough for us. We instead ate at several coffee shops near the hotel. We chose a la carte for dinner and was not disappointed. They had a wonderful steak set. The hotel is conveniently located across from the Ikebukuro station which houses Lumine and Tobu department stores. It is a safe location

Excellent 1 week stay at Metropolitan! The hotel is perfectly located, in front of the station and with shops, restaurants and the underground food markets. Breakfast is just amazing and delicious, a great way to start your sooo busy days! We even used the laundry room to wash underwear! The room was clean and spacious enough to relax after a day of adventures — with bread or cakes from their bakery ;) My #1 hotel in Tokyo!
