Excellent location to visit and explore Singapore and enjoy the vibrant Chinatown. I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms are clean, the location is pretty central, it very close to the underground train system (MRT). Everyday the room is cleaned and you get two bottles of water. The bathroom is not large but it is very adequate. The air conditioning could use a stronger blower (fan) to cool the room down faster.

I got upgraded from a single to a double room, but even the double room felt small by UK standards (where I'm from). Pros: The hotel itself is quite unique. Cleaning is done daily (which wasn't the case where I had travelled from Malaysia just before). The location is very central and convenient, amenities are close. The aircon was strong and there's a remote you can use. Cons: When I came in around 1pm to drop off my luggage, I had to wait around 40 mins for front desk staff to be available. My room was street facing so you could hear noise from outside. The walls are so thin that I thought someone was in my room when guests were moving around next door, so sleep depends on how noisy your neighbours are. There were also small ants I kept finding that were crawling into my luggage. The hairdryer was poor with low pressure and it kept turning off. The TV is small and very poor quality.

at times could be noisy during sleeping hours, and false fire alarm goes off a few times during our stay.

Convenient location for a quick stop in Singapore

Great central location for a first-time visit to Singapore. Our room was comfortable and clean. The A/C unit didn't respond to the remote control and the airflow was aimed at the beds, so we were cold when sleeping.

It's located in Chinatown and is very convenient to explore it. The street had a lot of trash. We didn't see anyone except the check-in person.

We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very accommodating. We initially had issues with our room and Winston resolved it swiftly. The place is a bit on the older side. The only downside is the cleaning standards. The room was definitely too dusty to be acceptable and there was dust on the tables and weeks/months of dust under the bed and a pair of underwear which was definitely easily accessible to staff and should be addressed for health and safety standards prior to us checking in.

The hotel is located close to MRT Chinatown and easily walk to shops and restaurants nearby as well as famous Maxwell street food centre. Despite the age of the building, everything was kept in good working condition but no very nice place to spend holidays. Great choice for busy business person though.
