Great stay, great staff, good value

We recently stayed at Oasis Beach Motel in Taupo and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The standout feature is undoubtedly its exceptional location, directly facing the lake. Waking up in the morning to a stunning view of Lake Taupo and the surrounding mountains through the large glass doors in the bedroom was simply breathtaking. The scenery alone makes this property worth considering, and it is hard to beat the peaceful atmosphere and incredible outlook. The only downside is that the property is showing its age and could benefit from some renovations and modernisation. However, despite being older, the room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. Considering the budget-friendly price and the unbeatable lakefront location, we have no real complaints and would happily stay here again.

The parking is angle parking and is hard to exit vehicle. Check in you need to go to the reception desk at the Milennium. Our room wasnt ready, they gave us a voucher to use at the bar.

Heat pump is dead, the carpets need attention, as you open the doors, they was a bad smell of either moisture or unclean carpets or maybe doors were never opened for a while. The reception staff were so helpful. If those areas I mentioned are taken into consideration and addressed, it is a good place to be.

Great stay with beautiful views accross the lake. Pool was wonderful and warm. Easy parking and close to town.

Heat pumps in the bedrooms.

The staff were friendly and walking into my room was so nice as they had it heated. I do recommend this hotel if your a solo travler

We were booked for 2 nights, my wife became unwell, no trouble in canceling our last night, they were more concerned about my wife.

Rooms a bit too smaller in size as shown in the pics but nice and cosy after hours check in was easy to follow
