Very friendly staff; easily walkable to/from train and historic sites

Clean and comfortable room. So glad I booked a room with castle view. We had the Superior Twin Room, 23m2. The view was just amazing! And we got to see the castle at different times of the day. The hotel offers welcome drinks. Not just standard drinks but hot chocolate, too! Thank you! The breakfast room also has view of the castle! So nice!! Buffet breakfast has standard items plus dishes using local ingredients (or famous local dishes?) For example, miso soup with pork and pumpkin, rice mixed with squid, Swiss roll with sweet potato, apple caramel cake and mochi with red bean. No other hotel we stayed in had these. Compliments to the chefs! On top of that, there was a Kyushu Food Festival on at the Fukuyama Castle grounds the weekend we were there. We got to experience that. So lucky. Joining in to do morning exercises before sunrise in front of the castle was another memorable experience!!

Great room overall at a great price. Outstanding spaciousness was the most standout feature for both the room itself and the bathroom. There were some things that didn’t seem entirely clean from the last guest but it was in good condition overall. Would highly recommend another stay

Breakfast was nice easy to get to from station. Excellent view from my room. Staff were fantastic.

Excellent location adjacent to train station. The staff at front counter were SUPER nice and friendly. Very helpful and accomodating. There is a lovely castle literally next door. The breakfast was easily the best I’ve had in a Japan business style hotel and was included in the room rate!! Only stayed one night, but would definitely stay again in the future!!

We loved this hotel, great friendly service and the location couldn’t have been better. It was a stones throw way from the station. Ended up getting a gorgeous view of the castle from our room! Breakfast was also excellent!

Hotels located directly across the street from the train station and right next to a beautiful castle. This was a fun little city to explore.

Vessel hotels are great and Fukuyama hotel was in a great position but unfortunately the bed was very hard
