They take very good care of you at this little gem of a hotel a block from the ocean ! I stay about three times a year and would not stay anywhere else in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Very reasonable parking prices, very clean and up to date rooms and always a great free breakfast to start your day ! That is a 40 buck savings from going to a local restaurant ! On top of all that they have local employees that are the reason they call Hawaii paradise ! Great folks who are always a joy to stop and chat with and they know all the great places to go and things to see ! Parking is on site and always adequate and all the best things to do and see in Kailua Kona are within walking distance. Many thanks to the employees of Holiday Inn in Kona for all of their hard work to make paradise paradise !!!!!! If you want a fantastic experience when visiting the Big Island forgo the glitz of Waikoloa and visit Kailua Kona and walk along the sea wall and feel the ocean spray on your face 😎😆!

The sound proof is poor. We stayed on the second floor. The upper unit’s foot steps woke us up too often . Ac was good, amenities were great, staffs are nice, parking and location is convenient. Thank you Holiday Inn

Great breakfast, perfect location, staff wasn't the greatest but it was worth the stay.

Don’t rent from hotels.com. They sold me a suite with two double beds and pull out sofa to sleep six. When I got there, the hotel said they did not have any of those rooms left and because I booked last minute it was already sold. When I called customer service for a reimbursement hotels would be reimburse me any cost but a $50 future booking credit. After I refused the customer service representative hung up on me. I would never book from them again.

Great staff. Breakfast was amazing. Convenient to Kona

The room was cleaned but sand was never really swept off our floor completely, and we don't think they changed our sheets as it felt like there was sand in our sheets always. Our soap was never refilled during our entire week stay. There was a lot of variety in the breakfast but some odd choices. Mostly spam every morning with premade omelets. They had chicken strips one morning. There were cereal options, toast, bagels, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, and yogurt every day. Pancake machine was on about every other day. There were bananas or apples most days. One day they had oatmeal, the rest of the time it was biscuits and gravy. If you are trying to eat a more healthy breakfast, there weren't as many options. The fridge that cold foods for breakfast was put in needed to be cleaned. Overall the stay was not bad just little things that could be better.
