Rooms very dated and sterile looking, not even a picture on the wall, cold room, dim bathroom lighting, no water in the fridge and not even a biscuit with the tea and coffee provided
The pool and spa was very un inviting, not what you would expect from a hotel
On checking out wee were not even asked if we had a pleasant stay which is common courtesy
Breakfast was not memorable, mostly cold and we left ours
Staff in the sports bar were nice and helpful

I had no expectations when arrived here. First room they gave me it wasn’t to my liking and asked if they could do any better. They ended up putting me in room 505 and I feel in love with the view. I wished I stayed longer. The room had a jetted hot tub and the view of the lake was my favourite part.

We seated at the Lakes Hotel for a multi-day sporting event.
The rooms are basic but clean, the beds are very soft (which I like but my heavy partner did not), the shower was probably the worst part - just a rain shower head, so bring a good shower cap!
All of the food was exceptional (I liked the roast so much I ordered it twice!), the staff were genuine and helpful, the views are just great. It's well located and the whole event we attended was run without a hitch.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Our time at the Lakes Hotel was really delightful.

I would like to say that the rooms were great with amazing views but i think that’s just not enough i feel the advertisement was a bit misleading as they say free breakfast yes it was free but it was limited to 1 or 2 items which is fine but it was no where mentioned in the advertisement coming next to breakfast 2 out of three days our food had hair in it which is not acceptable i think with that limited rooms service should be on point secondly i tried calling the room service which they kept on putting it on to hold room cleaning service was on point all the other amenities were good pool area is indoor but not heated and ventilated so ut was cold there so it was of minimal use i would say staff was good overall but there is a lot scope of improvement in the services and i would recommend that they should correct there advertising by writing limited in front of free breakfast and the lobby in floors were really dirty that also needs a clean up
