We arrive in good time for 3pm check in.. waited more than 1 hour in the queue to check in. Did not even manage to get our room until around 7pm (keeps going back to reception to check, they did not even make an attempt to contact us when the room is ready). The room is not thoroughly clean... we found spoiled food left behind by previous guest in the fridge ( called housekeeping to remove, discard and clean the foul smell fridge.) Was very disappointed for our stay, will not book this hotel again.

Spent 2hrs in a queue at check-in before we can get a room. The whole place is poorly maintained, my child got scratches from swimming in the pool because of broken tiles. Called for fresh bath towels for the room multiple times and there was no response.

Room is extremely dirty. Water pipe leaking. Toilet dirty. Safe not working. Totally not a 5-star hotel as advertised.

The whole property , grounds and buildings , were all clean and immaculately kept . The staff were all friendly and very efficient . Meals were all excellent , including the breakfast buffet which had heaps of options . We were a little frustrated that there were " No beach swimming because of Jellyfish " signs up when several staff informed us that swimming was safe . However the swimming pools were a delight to use ! The mini golf was a waste of money as the " greens " were all concrete , and were uneven when hitting the ball making it impossible to line up a shot properly . Overall , we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sand and Sandals and would come back again .

Enjoyable experience for my family of three. Just one minus point is the hard pillow, my husband and I couldn't sleep with it. We need to use the towel as pillow instead.

This is truly a nice sea side resort with all the amenities and activities for the family. The rooms are large, clean and in good working condition. Bedding and sheets are clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast is a wide spread of mostly local food and restaurant Spices and Herbs served up good lamb shank. Overall, great for the family, good funal and lots of swimming and beach walks.

This property looks great on the website in reality it is very tired needs to be renovated ASAP Staff tried their best Food was below expectation more like a cheap buffet style quality of food Im not sure how Expedia gave it 7.8rating

Spacious room. All amenities are there. Big swimming pool, close to seaside.

Generally pleasant.. Except... There is alot smokers... Or vaping in the premise specifically at level 1 reception and swimming pool also, saw one guy vaping.. And also at the beach.. Saw one worker smoking.. ... Can smell not sure is it by the staff or visitors.. If the hotel enforce strict non smoking and vaping... It will be be beautiful stay....

Everything was good. thank you ! Great move to let 113 triathlon event to checkout once the event ended at 430pm. Will definitely stay here again for 2026 113 Desaru triathlon if this keeps up.
