I have traveled though the HAM airport for over 30 years, frequently staying at the Radisson Blu, Hamburg Airport hotel. Over the years, I have enjoyed the crisp, clear, effective German, front desk staff, solidifying my stay in Germany.
This time was very different. The German front desk staff had been replace by a middle eastern man and woman couple, that were clueless! First, they seemed to have some "interpersonal game" going on, that I had to ask them to stop. Second, she could not find my reservation, even though it was clearly booked. Third, she multiple times tried to up-sell me on breakfast, even though our flight was to depart, before their breakfast opened.
Radisson Blu management, if you are listening, please, please, please, bring back your German staff!!

This hotel was just a place to stay foe one night with an early morning departure from the Hamburg Airport. The beds were very uncomfortable. Bathrooms were a little unclean. Service at dinner at this hotel was poor as well.

Stayed four days, on 3 days I had to remind them to make the room up, on one they didn't clean it at all. Hthe breakfast was a poor value for 25 Euro

Restaurant Stoke: food only average
Shower: very bad, little pressure, shower head would not stay in position
Fridge: was set to a minimum and couldn’t be changed; was not able to really cool down what I put in
A/C: terrible, on max wasn’t better than a 10-year old defective fan
Front desk: was supposed to be open 24 hours, but nobody was there at 1:30 am when a family member arrived
Overall the hotel is not bad, but for all the problems I had for a 1 night stay, which is usually what airport hotels are for, I rate it poorly and completely overpriced.
