Great property

Staff are wonderful and extremely helpful. Elevators are very slow and during peak hours there are unusually long lines. The outdoor cinema is terrific as is the location. Food at “managers’ reception” and breakfasts is not as good as it used to be.

The hidden cost of $37 dollars a day that is added to your stay at the hotel that is not revealed to the customer until they are standing at the front desk checking in is very unprofessional and needs to be corrected.

It's okay

Loved the location, loved the room, loved breakfast… it was great for a couple’s getaway weekend!

The breakfast was delicious with the omelette options and everything was served fresh. The breakfast area was small but I think that's common issue in most New York Hotels. Everything was still very organized and moved quickly with staff being pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and spacious compared to others.

Elevators slow. Room was clean and location is great.

Great stay, city view room is worth it and best value

The hotel was mixed. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful especially the facilities and housekeeping. The biggest negatives had to do with the property itself. The elevators can be terrible during peak hours. I literally waited over 10 minutes and it still never came. The facilities person was using the freight elevator and noticed us and said to come on and he took us down. A guest on our floor packed up his suitcase and went down the stairs 8 floors l. Next the room, the shower doors weren't aligned and therefore couldn't close all the way. Water got all over the floor. Day 2 I decided to fix it myself and discover it was off the tracks and it involved lifting the glass door. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen at an Embassy Suites. The door clears the toilet by less than an 8th of an inch. Not kidding. Also the trash cans in the rooms are tiny. Bringing food back late at night forces guests to either leave it outside their room or go down to the lobby to dispose. Honest opinion is that the room probably suffices for 1 person. More than that good luck.
