This place makes you feel right at home. When a person is traveling, regardless of the purpose or duration of the travel, these people are away from their own lives, homes, comfort zones, friends, family, etc. Therefore, these travelers need and want a place to stay that is so wonderfully cozy and peaceful, so they can relax, destress, unwind, and feel right at home! (Even if they are thousands and thousands of miles away from home), and this place hit the nail on the head,

Excellent value for money, perfect distance / short walk to the main town of Queenstown.

The place was clean and the staff were friendly at check-in and check-out. The reception area is cosy and nicely done with board games, books and a fireplace. We had booked and paid for an Alpine view room, but were given a room at the end of the hallway with only a partial view of the mountains - and only if you stepped onto the balcony and looked to your left. The view from inside the room was definitely not "Alpine view," just trees. Housekeeping also left some dirty dishes behind and didn't finish making the bed properly. The bathroom had no exhaust fan, and the tap water flow was frustratingly slow. The heater in the room was weak, which was a real issue given outside temperatures were under 5 degrees. While the place was okay, we wouldn't return for this service at this price point.

We would not stay here again. The noise from the pool area was disruptive, and past midnight for 2 of our 3 night stay. On the final morning, banging started at 6.30 am. So if you want your hotel for sleeping, don’t stay here.

Staff and breakfast were great. Drying room failed to dry snow gear out overnight - needs heating.

Clean room and staff

Our stay was incredibly disappointing due to the poor customer service. We arrived to find that the heating/air conditioning in our room wasn’t working, and with outside temperatures below freezing, the room was extremely cold. The only solution offered was a small fan heater, which barely warmed the room. When we asked if anything else could be done, we were simply told the technicians had gone home and there was nothing they could do. There was no effort to move us to another room, offer alternative accommodation, or provide any meaningful resolution. We were made to feel like our concerns were an inconvenience rather than a genuine issue. For a hotel of this standard, we expected much better service and a basic level of comfort. A functioning heating system in the middle of winter shouldn’t be optional. Unfortunately, the lack of empathy and unwillingness to help turned what should have been a relaxing stay into a frustrating experience. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on our experience.

We always love going to the Heritage. Great views and just far enough out of town to get away from the crowds but not that far to get back into town in 5 minutes. Staff were excellent and helpful. Rooms are very comfortable. Beds are comfortable too. However rooms could be cleaned earlier and before the late afternoon. There was one day our room was completely forgotten, despite us telling them we were leaving our room in the morning. I think there may have been a shortage of cleaners this time. They did do their best though. Not complaining. Restaurant and bar staff are excellent. We will definitely book there again.
