This was our first stay in the Copthorne Slough and we would highly recommend this hotel. The check in staff were very helpful. The duty manager Joy on breakfast was very polite professional and courteous . We also ate in the Bombay Pavillion while we were there and we can highly recommend the food and the service was excellent

Pros:
- Conveniently located just off the motorway.
- Great, covered parking - loads of spaces, although does cost £10 a night
- Friendly staff
- Good aircon (stayed during a heatwave!)
Cons:
- Food was pretty bad - £18 for a lukewarm, cardboard margarita pizza which tasted like a cheap supermarket brand is a bit ridiculous.
- No plug sockets by the bed - only USB which is a bit outdated now, couldn't charge my phone by the bed. Not the end of the world, just a bit annoying for setting alarms etc.
Overall, I would stay again but only for a quick business trip.

The property was well maintained room was decent bad experience with the no water bottles there for tea and coffee, no one answers at the reception and on top of it had to pay 10 pounds for the car parking even as a guest for the night. 😔 😟 🙁

Rooms were older style but clean and plenty of room. Staff were very helpful especially Joy and Ashley. Breakfast was normal buffet but nothing else around so suggest pay the night before to get discount. A little out of the way if you don’t have transport but ride cars come quickly.

Our initial welcome at check in could have been a bit more friendly.
The room was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was great - the food was a good standard, loads of choice and absolutely fantastic service from the waitress.
My only gripe was regarding the parking. For a start it's a sharp turn getting through the barriers and I scuffed the front wing slightly which was annoying. Then the instructions for payment referred to 'day visitors' but not 'overnight visitors' so I didn't know whether to pay at the machine or what, given the amount of notices that warn of tickets! Thankfully I was right not to pay, instead I just needed to give reception my reg number and pay them directly.
I'd happily stay here again safe in the knowledge that I know how to navigate the parking!

As others have mentioned, the hotel does look a little dated, but it is clean, which is the most important thing. For most guests, it's simply a place to sleep for the night rather than somewhere to spend extended periods of time.
The staff on check-in Saturday were quite abrupt. They weren't rude, but they lacked the customer-focused approach you would normally expect in a customer-facing role. In contrast, the staff on Sunday were absolutely superb and made me feel like a VIP.
The English breakfast buffet was decent and certainly sets guests up well for the next leg of their journey. Continental breakfast options are also available. However, the hotel signage advertised breakfast at £12.50 per person, yet I was charged £15.00.
Similarly, the official website currently advertises free parking, but I was charged £20 (£10 per 24 hours).
The increase in breakfast cost and the unexpected parking charge didn't affect my budget, but I can understand why many guests would find this frustrating. If the advertised prices and parking information are no longer accurate, they should be updated accordingly.
I would stay again if I had to, but it would not be my first choice.
