Great experience. Loved the hotel.

The Schweizerhof Luzern hotel is located on the banks of Lake Lucerne, a walking distance from the railway station and the Kapellbrucke (Chapel bridge). The reception and concierge staff were very welcoming and helpful during check-in and check-out. The hotel is walking distance from the city tram tour and restaurants. It has two restaurants as well, but with limited options for vegetarians (there are other restaurants within walking distance with vegetarian options). We spent 4 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our time in Luzern.

Gorgeous view of the lake. Walkable to many restaurants, bakeries, and major shopping is right behind the hotel. Also walkable to the lion monument and the wooden bridge. So much cool architecture to check out around the hotel, not to mention the hotel itself having been built in 1845.

Fantastic hotel all around— property, room, location — all perfect!

Just a wonderful hotel. Situated facing lake with alps in background. Spacious, whimsical rooms with comfortable beds/linens. Ask for lake view room if available. Great staff. Doorman saw us approaching with luggage and hurried out to take the bags, which appeared later in room with no further effort on our part. Friendly front desk representative. Room not ready due to early arrival, but she took our phone # and called just a few minutes later when it was ready. She recognized us as reentered hotel and came out to greet us and escorted us to room, Upgraded to suite wo requesting. Lots of complementary extras. Room had snacks on arrival, chocolate at turn down and well stocked fridge. Given water and chocolate Easter bunny (was Easter) on check out. Have stayed in many great hotels. This is clearly one of the best. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area.

Very clean - great staff - awesome location

Exceptional location. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The junior suite was fabulous. The nightly turn down service and chocolates was an unexpected surprise. Worth the higher rates.
