Fantastic hotel! Highly recommend. It’s ina great old school neighbourhood of Beijing close to attractions. Much better than an isolated high rise hotel. Walking around the hotel was great to watch local life and eat with locals. The hotel itself is very cosy, in a good way. Clean, comfortable and modern, in a lovely courtyard setting. The staff are very friendly and relaxed. They have resident cats, which my kids adored. The rate for the hotel is also very reasonable. Great for a short stay. It is a bit noisy, so if that’s a big issues, take it into account. However, if you want an affordable, comfortable and friendly hotel stay in a central local neighbourhood, highly highly recommend!!!

Lovely traditional courtyard 四合院 with classy-designed modern amenities eg heater, sitting toilet, shower, aircon, TV etc; located within walking distance from subway station; managed by friendly and helpful staff

This hotel was an absolute gem. We enjoyed our stay so much on arrival in Beijing that we booked to stay again upon our return to the city after travelling elsewhere in China. The staff were extremely helpful — especially Lily Zhang who gave us excellent advice on places missed by many tourists and helped us with booking tickets to places such as the National Museum and Tiananmen Square. The hotel is just a short walk from the subway station and a main road, but is tucked away in a traditional hutong neighbourhood, meaning it has good transport connections but is also quiet in the evening and full of character. It is also close to the lovely Bei Hai Park and Qian Hai Lake region. I can’t recommend this hotel enough!

Not good if you like peace and quiet. The neighbors can be loud into the night.

This is a great place to experience Si He Yuan (courtyard) in Beijing at an affordable rate. Grabbing distance to the subway and restaurants. Try it out!

The hotel was very beautiful and antique but the room was smaller than I expected. However, I checked in mid-night during winter the room was very warm and the floor was also heated. Which makes it really cozy. I really enjoyed my stay here in Beijing.

Enjoy the traditional Beijing house and HuTong

The room that we had was amazing! It was very clean and has this cozy, upscale, and luxury vibe. The hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel itself is in the city close to multiple malls and restaurants. This hotel is also close to tourist attractions like the Forbidden City. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! I will definitely rebook with them when I get back to Beijing.

Tradiitonal Chinese SiHeYuan housing yet rooms are in standard tourist condition.
