I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was relaxing and staff were friendly and welcoming. When I departed on April 9, I realized that I had forgotten my watch at the hotel. Upon calling the hotel, the front desk gentleman drove his motorbike to quickly return it to me at the station. I am beyond thankful for his hospitality and am very appreciative of his kind and quick response. He made our trip extra special.

Staff was friendly and went above and beyond. The private baths were nice and a good way to relax and unwind. The free shuttle from Yufuin station was convenient. The food was great - lots of variety to try. I liked the Kabosu cocktail - highly recommend as an add-on.

The hotel location is very convenient as it is just next to the popular shopping street. The room is very big and the staff service is very friendly and prompt. Highly recommend to try

We had a wonderful stay at Yufuin Hoteiya. The check-in was very warm and welcoming, especially thanks to Oda-san. We loved our private onsen, and both the kaiseki dinner and breakfast were outstanding. One of the highlights was making popcorn in the hearth (Yoppite) room—such a fun and memorable touch. Service throughout our stay was impeccable, including the convenient drop-off service provided by the staff. The location is also excellent: an easy walk from Yufuin Station, with lots of charming shops along the way, and just a short stroll to Lake Kinrin. We truly enjoyed our time here and hope to come back again.

I liked that the location is away from the busy are, yet close enough. Good English support. We went up the hill and explored, which I would recomment if you want to get away from the crowd. Just a few good quality shops and art galleries, and restaurants up the hill.

We love the facility and staff. Hope we can visit again in the future.

The checked-in experience was easy. Breakfast and dinner were a phenomenon. Everyone was kind and accommodating. We also got free milk in the morning that we could take, free boiled eggs, sweet potatoes, and popcorn by the fire at night. We loved our experience. Highly recommended.

It was generally good that you can enjoy a traditional Japanese style of stay. But it was bit cold at night time that requires extra heater to use.
