There was false advertising. The pictures on Expedia showed something very very different. The bathroom sink was ridiculously small and narrow and the little shelf above it was placed in such a manner that it was impossible to brush your teeth without spilling on the floor. The staff was unhelpful we we complained about the false advertisement. They put the onus on Expedia, without showing any sense of liability themselves. Perhaps that is considered good customer service in Europe, but according to Canadian standards, it was awful. Also, some amenities, such a clothing iron and iron board in the room was not available, only on demand. The breakfast (which was not included) was both awful and pricey. I recommend not booking at this hotel. Stay away. You have been warned.

On the positive side, car parking was very good and the staff were polite and responsive. On the negative, the room was only cleaned or attended once in a 7 night stay, the shower head leaked, as did the coffee pod machine. Beverage supplies were not topped up daily, and draught beer prices not displayed at the bar. We didn’t eat at the hotel because we were visiting friends and family.

Good experience

4 day stay over Xmas 25 visiting relatives. Best value hotel we could find in the area. It is close to the A44 motorway and on a fairly busy main road but the (ground floor) room was quiet and peaceful, the traffic noise not noticeable. Staff happy helpful and friendly. Everything was working, well maintained with large TV, wifi, free parking. King size bed enormous and comfortable. Good value dinner one evening. We did not use the billiards pool room or the outside terrace. Generous times for checking in/out, breakfast and on site dinner. Relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Close to bus route, welcoming staff

Very nice place, a bit off the beaten track. We chose it because of proximity to friends. The only drawback was the placement of electric sockets. The only ones convenient to the bed were in the middle of the headboard, making their use quite awkward.

The lighting was terrible and a riser in the entrance to the bathroom was a trip hazard

Nice hotel well located if you want to enjoy Leiden and Corpus museum. Everything is walking distance or you can enjoy the bus.

Beautiful stay near Leiden central and 50mins away to Amsterdam by train. i was fasting during my stay and hotel made a lunchbox for me to eat and was really good with lots of options. overall room was very comfortable and reception are very helpful!
