Highly recommend, luxury resort, great service, excellent restaurants, beautiful pools and beach with very nice lounge chairs, room (suite) was spacious and comfortable, travel a lot and this is amazing.

For context, we stayed at this hotel as part of our honeymoon in Portugal. The positives are obvious when you look at pictures of the property. There is a stellar beach with a private area within a 2-minute walk from the hotel, the property's design is very nice, and the Algarve is beautiful no matter where you go. The reality is this hotel is designed for families with kids. If you are looking for a family vacation, this is a great hotel choice for you. There was an absurd amount of kids everywhere, and they definitely cater to that crowd. The pools, the kids club, even the restaurants are designed to keep kids and families entertained and happy. It felt more like a summer camp than a luxury hotel. And the price is definitely more like a luxury hotel. I don't feel like you get what you pay for at this hotel. The staff was not very helpful or especially friendly at any of the restaurants or facilities. The food at the restaurants was mediocre but priced at a premium. The property is nice with a great location, but its definitly showing its age in many places. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the design, convenience, and wonderful beach. But I do not feel like it is worth the price due to the food, service, and summer camp vibes.

amazing service and premises!

The Vilalara Grand Hotel was absolutely incredible! It is in the most beautiful area of the Algarve and close enough to tons of great towns in the Algarve. The property was immaculate and the staff was incredibly helpful. We highly recommend staying here for an extended stay to enjoy all the amenities this hotel has to offer!

Vilalara Grand Hotel Algarve was one of our favorite hotels we've stayed at. The hotel was very clean and the staff were so kind in all ways. It was my husbands birthday on the stay and they surprised him with champagne and dessert. Truly incredible service and beautiful place to stay while you are on vacation in Algarve.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views and direct access to the beach. The restaurants serve delicious food and the restaurant staff are very nice and attentive. We were disappointed that WIFI is sketchy across the resort, Room Service was difficult to reach and its petty to charge 5 euros to have a bucket of ice delivered!

This was the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Europe. The grounds were beautiful, the whole atmosphere was so relaxing and peaceful. We could always find a sun lounger and whilst the food was priced on the higher end for Portugal we didn’t eat a bad meal. We cannot wait to come back already!

We loved our trip there, amazing place, very relaxing! Clean! Private to the beach is an absolute must.

It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed. Everything was pure perfection. The views, the food, the beds, the pools, the staff! We already book a vacation to go back in a couple of months for another week!

truly 10/10 experience. couldn’t recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a beautiful & relaxed getaway. we took our 7 month old daughter and the resort was so accommodating and baby friendly. we had the best time, nothing negative. staff is incredibly helpful and kind. food was spectacular, views are truly next level. rooms were clean and spacious. the beach is stunning. the property is so well maintained, gorgeous landscaping and very vibrant. loved it and will be back!!
