dresser broken, room not very clean, dropped key behind desk, moved desk to retrieve key card and do not think it has been thoroughly cleaned in years. only 2 small elevators for 10 floors of people, only enough parking for 1/2-3/4 of the guests staying at hotel, so don’t drive to dinner or you will not have a spot and have to run through the pouring rain across a busy road with kids in the middle of Daytona. nice view, decent breakfast(great for kids), nice pool (also great for kids.) good price for location and our plans.

Hate barn doors for bathrooms

It had good and bad points. Breakfast was great. Free parking, free wifi. The ocean was great. No air conditioning in our hallway made it hot while waiting for the elevator. Eventually they kind of fixed it and it was still warm but not hot. Rooms smell musty, but I assume that's the case everywhere. Some things need cosmetic repair in rooms like rust on bottom of lampshade, chrome coming off shower faucet. Staff seems stressed and overworked, maybe understaffed. We told 3 different people at the front desk our phone didn't work and it was never fixed. Staff doesn't write issues down for the next shift. Still decent for the price.

Really the only thing going for this hotel is direct access to the beach. Had it not been for that I may have ranked it lower. Rooms are very dated and badly in need of refurbishment. Bathroom door wouldn't stay closed unless locked it rolled right open. Dresser drawers also dont stay closed and just hung half open. Breakfast also sucked with not much available. Luckily we were just staying one night to have a beach day before going to Disney. Had we planned to stay longer I would have checked us out and found a different last minute hotel. Would not stay here again.

Halls were hot but clean rooms were clean but ran out of shampoo and soap and never received anymore from housekeeping. Staff was friendly though we would stay there again

The breakfast and pool areas were great. Rooms were very comfortable. Easy access to the beach. However, parking was limited and tight and the balcony had no furniture to sit and enjoy the view.

If it were not for the stained comforter, stained couch cover (with falling apart cushions under it), and hole in the wall, I might have rated this “good.” The rooms are old. The hallways are hot and smelled like weed on day one but better the next two days. Elevators were slow during peak hours. I wanted to leave and book something else, but we decided to suck it up for 2 nights and just leave early evening of the 3rd night to head home. Positives are that it is on the beach (the park next to it has a ramp for carts), pool with shallow area for young kids, breakfast was good, and the shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water. Beds were the least comfortable of the 3 Hyatt properties we stayed at this trip. I would not stay again, but it could be good if you are looking for a budget option and don’t plan to spend much time in your room. However, we stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott two years ago and I would pay more to stay there in the future.

Staff wasn’t helpful and it took over 1 hour to check in due to only one person at the front desk and she didn’t allow early check-in.
